Leonard Cohen Tribute Album Will Feature Over 20 Musicians

November 7th, on the fifth anniversary of Leonard Cohen’s passing, comes, “Cult Classics Vol. 1: I Don’t Even Think of You That Often,” a 14-track compilation album in tribute to one of the most influential musicians of the century.

The album, conceptualized and headed by producer Adam Tilzer, is brought together by more than a dozen additional powerhouse musicians, including:

Lexie Lowell, Ward Williams, Sam Nordlinger, Maxfield Gast, Brian Delaney, Tiger Darrow, Jesse "Dr." Blum, Benjamin Wright, and Elliott Von Wendt are also confirmed for the record.

Recording a compilation with a range of styles is an unpredictable feat when aiming for a seamless album, but Tilzer, a devoted Cohen fan himself, was confident about letting each musician take the reigns.

It was crucial for me to encourage artists to not only handpick the song they were going to cover but also bring their unique styles to the recording process. Putting in the time and effort to bring something new to songs that already stand so well on their own, and create something inspired, is part of what made this compilation a genuine Leonard Cohen tribute.”

“Cult Classics Vol. 1: I Don’t Even Think of You That Often” spans Cohen’s prolific 50-year career, with music from the artist’s first album, his final album, and the hits in between.

An official release party will also take place in New York City venue East Berlin at 7pm on November 7th. Guests will experience an interactive first listen of the album, hosted by producer Album Tilzer, and celebrate the music of Leonard Cohen with several special performances, including Elijah Mann, Jordan Popky, Paola Bennet, Emanual Ayvas, Ellajay, and Kiirstin Marilyn.
