Amagansett Farmers' Market Set to Open for Season

Friday, May 27 marks opening day for the Amagansett Farmers' Market.

AMAGANSETT, NY - There's nothing that signifies the start of summer more than the opening of farmers' markets on the East End, bursting with abundance and fresh produce.

The Amagansett Farmers' Market, located at 367 Main Street in Amagansett, is set for its seasonal opening on May 27 through May 30, when the market will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Opening weekend will feature live music, tastings, and local food for purchase.

The market, operated by the the Amagansett Food Institute features locally grown produce and food products prepared by local and regional providers.

Featured farms and producers include Amagansett Sea Salt Co., Amber Waves Farm, Arlotta Food Studio, East End Apiaries, Hampton Bagel, Gula Gula Empanadas, Josephine’s Feast!, Peconic River Preserves, Quail Hill Farm, and many more.

The market will also be offering coffee by Hampton Coffee; locally sourced breakfast items by Sea Bean; fresh juice and smoothies from Solutions Organic Juice Bar; a grab and go line of sandwiches and salads; ice cream by Joe and Liza’s Ice Cream; baked goods and local breads.

The opening weekend will feature acoustic music by local artists Job Potter and friends on Sunday May 29 in the morning and afternoon tastings by Wyse Organics, Sweet ‘tauk Lemonade, and Old School Favorites through the weekend.

The market will be open 7 am to 7 pm on weekends in June and seven days beginning in July.

The Amagansett Food Institute is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization that supports farmers and food producers on the East End of Long Island.
