1. The Hamptons Agenda (modernluxury.com) — June is packed with East Hampton happenings, from art shows at Duck Creek and the Hamptons Pride Parade on Main Street to the LVIS Fair and multiple local benefits. Residents can also catch concerts, theater, and niche festivals in nearby Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, and Amagansett, many of which support education, childcare, and youth programs across the East End.    

2. A Contest for the Semiquincentennial (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton Town is launching a social-media challenge to visit historic markers around the town by July 31, with selfies and the hashtag #easthampton250 earning participants a commemorative T‑shirt. At this week’s board meeting, local historians shared powerful Revolutionary-era and slavery-era stories tied to East Hampton, and officials also announced plans to bury a July 4 time capsule to be opened in 2051.    

3. BookHampton Hosts Steve Israel and Chris Pavone (danspapers.com) — BookHampton in East Hampton recently hosted former Congressman Steve Israel and bestselling novelist Chris Pavone for a discussion of Israel’s new thriller, “The Einstein Conspiracy.” Locals packed the shop as the pair dug into the book’s mix of historical research, Nazi-era intrigue, and fictional investigation, giving East Hampton readers a close-up look at the story behind the suspense.    

4. Item of the Week: ‘Weekend Utopia' at Guild Hall, 1999 (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton Library’s Long Island Collection is spotlighting Alastair Gordon’s influential “Weekend Utopia” exhibition at Guild Hall and the new 25th-anniversary edition of his book on Hamptons modernism. Gordon will speak at the library next Thursday at 5 p.m., unpacking how weekend houses, architecture, and culture reshaped the Hamptons—and offering signed copies for interested locals.
