Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club to Host 5th Annual Community Cup Golf Tournament

Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club will come together for the 5th Annual Community Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gardiners Bay Country Club on Shelter Island. The annual fundraiser aims to raise $80,000 to support youth programming on the East End.

The Community Cup Golf Tournament is a collaborative fundraiser presented by the two East Hampton-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, which share a commitment to creating opportunities for local children and families to learn, grow and thrive.

Project MOST provides high-quality after-school, summer learning and community programs that enrich the lives of children and families in East Hampton. East End Lacrosse Club promotes the game of lacrosse to boys and girls across the East End, helping young athletes build confidence, character, teamwork and life skills through sport.

The partnership between Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club (EELC) began organically, rooted in a shared commitment to creating more opportunities for local children. EELC got its start on the grounds of the Neighborhood House, where Project MOST welcomed Ricky and Meredith Smith, co-founders of EELC, to organize pickup lacrosse practices and games for children ages 5 to 8. What began as an introduction to the sport for young children has grown into an enduring collaboration between the two organizations. Today, their partnership continues to strengthen as Project MOST and EELC work together to give East End children greater access to enriching programs, positive mentorship and opportunities to learn, play, build confidence and connect with their community.

Now in its fifth year, the Community Cup brings together golfers, local businesses and community supporters for a day on the course while generating critical funding for both organizations. Proceeds from the event will be split between Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club and used to expand programs serving children and youth throughout the East End.

In addition to tournament play, this year’s Community Cup will feature a silent auction, offering another opportunity for supporters to contribute to the organizations and their missions.

Businesses and individuals can also support the tournament through several sponsorship opportunities, including Lead Sponsor ($10,000), Gold Sponsor ($5,000), Silver Sponsor ($1,000) and Hole Sponsor ($500) levels. Sponsorship benefits vary by level and include opportunities such as tournament participation, event signage, recognition through social media and email communications, and recognition at the awards ceremony.

Those who cannot attend the tournament can still support Project MOST and East End Lacrosse Club through donations. Contributions of any amount are welcomed and will be split between the two organizations to help grow programs for children and youth on the East End.

The 5th Annual Community Cup Golf Tournament will take place Monday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gardiners Bay Country Club, 12 Dinah Rock Road, Shelter Island Heights, New York.
