Heart of Springs (https://heartofsprings.com/), will host the Third Annual SpringsFest on Saturday, October 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. with a rain date of October 4th from 2 to 5 p.m. The community music festival will be held on the grounds of the Parsons Blacksmith Shop at 1 Parson Place in the Heart of Springs.
“Last year's festival exceeded our expectations, and the community response was overwhelming. We're thrilled to be able to provide our resident families with another opportunity to come
together and connect. Attendees will enjoy a large craft fair, local beer and wine, food trucks, raffles, yard games, and more. For this year's music, we've decided to feature 3 local bands that are all part of the East End Originals music community,” shares Dylan Greene, member of the SpringsFest Committee at Heart of Springs.
SpringsFest 2026 will feature free concerts by M takes the Mic at 4 p.m., followed by local band REEB “Real East End Brass,” at 5 p.m., and Mamalee Rose & Paul Gene performing at 6 p.m. A special history lesson from “town crier” Hugh King will take place where he will speak on the lands that surround the Springs Triangle. Food trucks will be on site for the evening serving dinners, light snacks, soft drinks and desserts. Springs Brewery beer and Springs Wines & Liquors will be on site as well for those 21+ to purchase beverages.
The event will be filled with a fall fair atmosphere for families, old and new, who are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to sit and enjoy the music, food, crafts from local businesses at tables, yard games as well as a blacksmith demonstration sharing the importance of blacksmiths in our community nearly 150 years ago. Fifteen local craft fair vendors will be in attendance with booths featuring authors showcasing their new releases, beach glass items, baked goods and other handmade trinkets.
The event is free; however, donations are strongly encouraged and welcome. Any proceeds from individual and sponsorship donations will cover costs for the event but ultimately go towards Heart of Springs’ goal to raise funds to help with maintaining and restoring the historical buildings that comprise and give character to the Springs Triangle. These buildings include the Blacksmith Shop, the Springs Library, Ashawagh Hall and the Springs Community Presbyterian Church.
“In addition to SpringsFest, Lights of Love has also become a deeply meaningful and enjoyable annual gathering, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has attended our events and who supports our work! The funds we raise go directly to refurnishing our historic buildings and supporting the programs that are the lifeblood of our community. HOS aims to protect and maintain these important traditions to preserve the past and seed the future of our hamlet,” continues Greene.
