East Hampton Man Caught With Cocaine in Montauk Parking Lot: Police
The man was charged with a felony, authorities said.

MONTAUK, NY — An East Hampton man was busted after he was caught with cocaine in a Montauk parking lot, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, John Beecher Ivolin, 25, was arrested on July 12 at 2:30 a.m. in a S. Elmwood Avenue parking lot after he was found to have, in his hand, a small plastic bag containing a "white, powdery substance" that field tested positive for cocaine.
Police said the total aggregate weight of the cocaine was greater than 500 milligrams.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, 500 milligrams, a felony, police said. Cash bail was set at $1,000 at his arraignment, police said.
