East Hampton Woman Charged With DWI: Police

She was pulled over on Indian Wells Highway, police said.

AMAGANSETT, NY — An East Hampton woman was arrested after she drove drunk, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Tracey L. Schenk, 28, was arrested on Friday at 10:32 p.m. on Indian Wells Highway in Amagansett. She was driving a white 2010 Ford south by the intersection of Bluff Road when she drove across hazard markings and failed to signal when required, police said.

Upon investigation, Schenk had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, was unsteady on her feet and performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and released on her own recognizance, police said.
