Family Service League Moves to Larger Facility in East Hampton
The organization will be moving to Accabonac Road in East Hampton.

The Family Service League (FSL) announced earlier this month that in order to address the rising demand for outpatient mental health services on the East End of Long Island, they moving to a new, larger facility at 316 Accabonac Road, East Hampton.
FSL has been providing outpatient mental health services to the residents of East Hampton Town for over four decades.
In 2014, State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle, NY Assemblyman Fred Thiele, Jr., and Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman, spearheaded the South Fork Initiative and secured vital funding for phase one of this project.

The first phase of the South Fork Initiative helps FSL provide local school districts with crisis services for students experiencing suicidal thoughts/behaviors or other imminent risk factors.
FSL staff conducts assessments either on-site or via the use of tele-psychiatry.

This service reduces unnecessary hospital visits and fosters real-time engagement with students, and their families, in crisis.
The support and vision of the Town of East Hampton’s Human Services Department and the East Hampton Housing Authority has added great value to this partnership.
Additional programs/services at the FSL East Hampton Mental Health Clinic include:
- Case/care management that focuses on all of an individual’s needs;
- Geriatric mental health service;
- Community Crisis Action Team (C-CAT) provides critical incident stress management to individuals who have experienced traumatic events;
- Supportive, field based, case management for children with severe emotional disturbances;
- Home based program provides counseling for families struggling with stressors which left unassisted may potentially result in children being removed from the home environment;
- Assertive Community Treatment for adults suffering from severe mental illness; and,
- Community Behavioral Health Collaborative (CBHC) provides children’s emotional health programs including a family resource center in the Springs School District, parent workshops, early identification and intervention screenings.
