GUILD HALL PRESENTS NINA YANKOWITZ CRISS~CROSSING THE DIVINE EXHIBITION

Criss~Crossing the Divine is an interactive installation that uses technology to allow people to explore the relative perspectives of sacred texts. Original scriptures from the Old Testament, New Testament, The Quran, Buddhist and Hindu texts are respectively color-coded so participants can save and retrieve a copy of their searched perspectives after exiting to learn from which religions their color-coded texts originated. The installation is based on the belief that most conflicts are fueled by religious intolerance. Politicians often use religion as a theme to divide people and camouflage actual party platform issues, albeit philosophies reflected in the original scriptures are, at their core, not very different from each other. $7 Suggested Admission. Museum Hours through July 3: Mon, Fri, & Sat 11am-5pm; Sun noon-5pm. July 4th-Labor Day, open 7 days: Mon-Sat 11am-5pm; Sun noon-5pm.
