LIRR Montauk Branch Will See Delays For Track Work This Weekend
Track work scheduled for this weekend will cause delays in both westbound and eastbound trains on the Montauk line.

The MTA annouced that there will be track work scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 which will result in changes and reduced train service on the Montauk branch.
Long Island Rail Road workers will be carrying out switch renewal work in the Queens Village area and off-loading continuous welded rail between Hicksville and Syosset for future installation.
For westbound trains, on Saturday, October 25, trains leaving Montauk at 3:30 p.m., 5:35 p.m. and 7:33 p.m. will arrive at Jamaica up to 16 minutes later than normal time.

For eastbound trains, on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26, the Montauk-bound train that departs Jamaica at 1:10 a.m. will not make its usual stop at Hicksville, but instead will travel to Montauk via the Babylon Branch. Montauk-bound customers who usually board at Hicksville will instead board a van that will take them to Babylon and make all stops to Montauk.
