Man Arrested 2X In 1 Month Drove Drunk, Crashed Car: Cops
He's facing felony charges after he drove drunk and crashed the car, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A man who was arrested earlier in the month was busted for the second time in February after he was caught driving drunk and crashing the car, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Christopher Verity, 24, was arrested on Feb. 20 at 6:12 p.m. on Springs Fireplace Road near Bowling Green Place. He was driving a 2000 black Toyota when he was involved in a crash while intoxicated, police said.
Upon investigation, Verity had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, and slurred speech; he was also unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, committing aggravated unlicensed operation 2/alcohol or drugs, a felony, police said. He was also charged with first degree aggravated DWI, per se .18 of 1% or more alcohol, prior conviction within 10 years, a felony, police said. Verity was also charged with DWI, previous conviction of designated offense within 10 years, a felony, police said.
Verity was also charged with second degree criminal contempt, disobeying the court, a misdemeanor, police said.

Earlier in February, Verity was arrested after he allegedly slammed a woman to the ground, then bit her cheek and arm, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Verity, was arrested on Feb. 1 at 10:30 p.m. and charged with third degree criminal mischief, damaging another person's property, in an amount greater than $250, a felony, after he intentionally damaged the victim's Samsung cell phone, causing an estimated damage of $400.
He was also charged with third degree assault with intent to cause physical injury after he slammed the victim to the ground on her right side, "causing substantial pain, dizziness and trouble breathing," police said. He then bit her left cheek and right arm, "causing substantial pain, swelling and lacerations to her left cheek and right arm" and requiring medical attention, police said.
In addition, Verity poured a full glass of beer on his victim and was charged with second degree harassment, a violation.
He was released into the custody of the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department after his arrest on Feb. 20, police said.
