Man Charged With Arson After Hamptons Tennis Facility Fire: Cops
He was previously charged with violating an order of protection, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man has been charged with arson after a fire at an indoor tennis facility, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Scott A. McKallip, 56, was arrested on Saturday at 12:55 p.m. on Newtown Lane in East Hampton and charged with third degree arson following an unrelated arrest and larceny charge that took place Saturday.
McKallip was charged following his role in a Dec. 22, 2018 fire at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis facility that was deemed arson by investigators, police said. He was arrested after an investigation by East Hampton Town Police detectives and Suffolk County Police arson detectives, police said.

McKallip had been previously charged by East Hampton Town Police for violating an order of protection resulting from incidents involving the owner of the East Hampton Indoor Tennis facility, police said.
McKallip is slated to be arraigned at East Hampton Town Justice Court on Sunday; the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact East Hampton Town Police detectives at 631-537-7575, police said. All calls will be kept confidential.
