Man With Switchblade Resists Arrest: Cops
Officers had to carry him to the police car, authorities say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was arrested after he was caught with a switchblade and resisted arrest, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Justin M. Damark, 26, was arrested on Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. on North Main Street by Springs Fireplace Road in East Hampton after he was found to be driving a 2000 Mercedes Benz north with registration that was suspended.
He was charged with motor vehicle violation, registration suspended, a misdemeanor, police said.

Damark also possessed a switchblade knife in his left pants pocket, police said. He was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, firearm/weapon, a misdemeanor, police said.
After being told he was under arrest and to exit the vehicle numerous times, Damark rolled up the driver's side window, grabbed the steering wheel "with clenched hands" and started forward, "ignoring all commands given by police officers," police said.

Officers accessed the vehicle by striking the passenger's side window and unlocking the door, police said.
Damark then limp, at which time he was "removed from the vehicle and proned out, handcuffed, and then carried" to the police car, police said.
He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said. The marijuana was found in a small plastic container in a bag in the backseat, police said.
Bail was set at $200, police said.
