Man Tries To Flee Police, 'Muscled To Ground': Cops
He left the scene after crashing into a fence and fishing equipment in the yard of a home, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Leland, NC man was arrested in East Hampton after he left the scene of a crash and resisted arrest, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Raymond K. Berry, 29, was arrested on April 20 at 8:10 p.m. on 9th Street near Gardiner Ave. and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, without owner consent, a misdemeanor, after he drove east in a 1998 Subaru Legacy owned by a woman without her permission.
He drove into the yard of a home and collided with a fence and fishing equipment, police said. Berry was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, an infraction, police said.

Berry was also charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, after he began to run and pulled away from an officer after being advised to stop, police said. He had to be "muscled to the ground," and had to have his hands "muscled behind his back" in order to be handcuffed, police said.
He was released on his own recognizance, police said.
