Mom Arrested After Leaving Daughter, 4, Home Alone: Police

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton mom was arrested after she left her daughter, 4, home alone for "an extended period of time," police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Gabriella Hernandez, 23, was arrested on April 19 at 2:01 p.m. and charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, a misdemeanor.

She was arrested after an incident that allegedly took place on March 23 when she left her daughter, 4, home alone at 4:34 p.m. in their East Hampton home, police said.

She was released on her own recognizance, police said.
