PANEL DISCUSSION: FAPE & THE ROLE OF THE ARTIST

Guild Hall presents this panel discussion in conjunction with the exhibition Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE). FAPE is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing permanent works of American art for U.S. embassies worldwide, through site-specific commissions, an original print and photography collection, preservation projects and other arts initiatives. This exhibition includes works by some of the United States’ most acclaimed artists from FAPE’s Original Print, Photography and Site-Specific Collections. The panel discussion is moderated by FAPE Exhibition Curator Robert Storr, who is Chairman of FAPE’s Professional Fine Arts Committee and Dean of the Yale School of Art. Panelists include artists Tina Barney, Lynda Benglis, Chuck Close, Joel Shapiro, and Carrie Mae Weems.
