Police: Petco Employee Charged With Stealing Items From Store

A Petco employee was arrested for stealing items from the store in Bridgehampton on Sunday afternoon, according to Southampton Town Police.

Taylor Sargent, 21, of East Hampton was seen taking items from the store, located at the Bridgehampton Commons on 2044 Montauk Highway, without paying for them at about 12:25 p.m., police said.

Sargent was transported the the Southampton Town Police Headquarters for processing.

She was charged with petty larceny and released on an appearance ticket, police said.
