Public Screening Of Educational Documentary "Reel Montauk" To Take Place Next Friday
The screening will be held at the Montauk Movie Theater.

The public screening of the new educational documentary, “Reel Montauk”, will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Montauk Movie Theater at 15 S. Edgemere Street.
This is the second public screening due to popular demand.
The movie looks at what life is really like, all year around in the popular tourist resort town.

Reel Montauk uses old footage, animation, original music with insightful interviews of long-time local residents. The film explores the natural beauty and rich history of Montauk.
The host of the film is long-time resident Tom Bogdan of Montauk Adventures. Bogdan details the lives of two major Montauk visionaries: Carl Fisher and Herbert Sadkin. The film depicts how their unique visions led to the Montauk of today.

John Barrett wrote, directed and produced “Reel Montauk”and Steve Elliot was the cameraman and editor of the film.
Montauk has been described as a “quaint drinking village with a slight fishing problem”.
In addition to being one of the premier fishing and surfing spots in the world, Reel Montauk covers surfcasting and a variety of other fascinating topics.
