Sag Harbor Students Say No to Drugs, Pledge to Be Kind
The students made a pledge during Red Ribbon Week in Oct.

Pierson Middle/High School students pledged to say no to destructive decisions and to be kind to each other during Red Ribbon Week, held at the school from Oct. 26 to Oct. 30.
As part of the anti-drug awareness week, students participated in a variety of activities.
They watched the film Bullied; decorated classroom doors with a theme of healthy choices; and participated in team-building contests during lunch periods.

Students also heard from guest speakers, including Alisty Keneth, who spoke about electronic safety; Dan Occhiogrosso, who talked to students about drugs and alcohol; and Paul Failla, who discussed with students the importance of making good life choices.
The week also included theme days, were students dressed in a variety of coordinating clothes.
