The Living Room Hosts Swedish Mid Summer Lunch

The Living Room Restaurant at c/o The Maidstone will host a Swedish Mid-Summer Lunch during lunch hours on Friday, June 20th – Sunday, June 22nd.  In Sweden, this holiday is celebrated at the same time every year to mark the arrival of the relatively short summer season. All across Sweden, people abandon the cities and head to the country side to eat, drink and dance till the morning (in some northern areas, the sun never sets during this time!). The traditional Swedish three-course menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in addition to the regular menu, and costs $29 plus tax and gratuity. The selections are as follows:

Traditional Herring Plate

3 types of pickled herring and all the condiments

Second Course

Blackened Gravlax

Mid summer vegetables and dill cream

Third Course

Strawberry Tartlet

Vanilla whipped cream
