Trial of Former Wall Street Executive Accused of Rape Begins Wednesday
The trial will begin at 11 a.m. in the criminal courthouse in Riverhead.

The rape trial of Jason Lee, a 38-year-old former Wall Street executive is set to begin on Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m. in the criminal courthouse in Riverhead, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.
Lee is charged with first degree rape, sexual misconduct and third degree assault, according to the DA.
Lee is accused of allegedly raping a 20-year-old Irish woman who was on vacation, in a bathroom at his East Hampton rental on Clover Leaf Lane in August 2013 after a celebration of Leeβs 37th birthday at Georgica restaurant in Wainscott, which is where he met the woman, buying her and friends drinks throughout the night, authorities say.

Lee, who is free on $100,000 bail, faces up to 25 years in prison on the rape charge and a year in jail on each of the misdemeanor sexual misconduct and assault charges.
