
East Hampton residents will vote on the school district’s $66,081,710 proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.
The total budget increase is 1.55 percent while the tax rate would rise by 1.35 percent over the current year’s rate if the budget is approved.
The estimated annual school tax increase on a property with an assessed value of $6,000 will be $41.38.

Four candidates are running for three seats on the East Hampton Board of Education.
Incumbents Liz Pucci, Christina DeSanti and Deme Minskoff are seeking re-election and are being challenged by former member, John Ryan Sr.

Two elected candidates will serve 3 year terms from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018; and one candidate will serve for a term commencing upon election until June 30, 2017.
Voting will take place on May 19 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., at East Hampton High School located at 2 Long Lane in East Hampton.
