Women Charged With Possession Of Cocaine, Intent To Sell: Cops

They also had a scale and 74 individual clear plastic bags, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Two women were caught with cocaine and charged with possession and intent to sell, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Katherin Molina, 27, of East Quogue and Joseline A. Lizano-Mairena, 25, of Sag Harbor were arrested on March 6 at 10:29 p.m. on Route 114 near Toilsome Lane in East Hampton and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotic drug, intent to sell, a felony. Both were also charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, 500 milligrams, a felony; second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, scale, a misdemeanor, second degree criminal use drug paraphernalia, package, a misdemeanor; and fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, aggregate weight more than 25 grams, a misdemeanor, police said.

The women possessed three individual plastic ziplock bags, each containing a quantity of cocaine, packaging material consisting of 74 individual clear ziplock bags for packaging of individual quantities of narcotic drugs or stimulants under circumstances "evincing an intent", and one black-colored electronic scale, police said.

The three individual plastic ziplock bags contained a white powdery substance that later field tested positive for the presence of cocaine, police said. The total aggregate weight of the cocaine was greater than 500 milligrams, police said.

The pair also had two large ziplock bags containing a green leafy substance that later field tested positive for the presence of marijuana, police said.

Molina's bail was set at $5,000, police said.

Lizano-Mairena was remanded into the custody of the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, police said.
