2 Injured In East Meadow House Fire
Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control, but one resident of the home and one firefighter were hurt.
EAST MEADOW, NY — A house fire in East Meadow on Tuesday injured two people, though firefighters were able to quickly bring it under control.
The call came in for a fire on Nancy Drive at 9:25 a.m. When East Meadow Fire Department firefighters arrived, they found a fire on the second floor of the home. They managed to quickly get the fire under control.
The Hicksville, Westbury and Levittown fire departments also responded to the scene.One person who lived in the home, as well as one firefighter, were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Nassau County Fire Marshal.
