A Night of Broadway at Eisenhower Park
Neil Berg's "100 Years Of Broadway" was displayed on the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre stage last Friday.
Before there was wind and rain, there was a whole lot of music at last Friday night.
Composer and lyricist Neil Berg brought his "100 Years of Broadway" to East Meadow, a show which features a cast of actors and actresses from the Broadway stage.
The show was originally scheduled for July 29 but was canceled due to the weather.

"They put on some really good performances," said Evelyn Ramirez of Merrick, who came with her husband to watch the show. "I especially liked Carol Demas. She was one of the original members from Grease and I thought she sang beautifully."
Besides Demas, the cast of actors and actresses included Rob Evan (Les Miserables, Jekyll & Hyde), Lawrence Clayton (Dream Girls, Jesus Christ Superstar), Natalie Toro (Evita), Rita Harvey (Phantom Of The Opera) and Carter Calvert (Cats).

"100 Years of Broadway" is part of a summer concert series that has toured over 120 cities in 2010 and 2011.
"It was a little buggy tonight, but overall, I had a nice time," said Mary Lambert of Massapequa, who said she is a fan of anything Broadway. "I particularly liked the part when the whole group of them got together and sang in the middle of the show."
Eisenhower's Summer calendar is almost over with just one concert remaining; Beach Boy Al Jardine and The Rip Cords will rock the stage on Sept. 17 .
