This innovative spot opened three months ago and offers up a delicious menu.
Quickly becoming a local staple, serves up “an eating experience you can’t get anywhere else.” Owner and chef Frank Buffolino took some time out to tell Patch about the business and how it got started:
Tell us how the F&S Bar and Grill got started.
“I partnered up with previous owner Sam Naderi (Funtazia) and took over the restaurant. I implemented a new look and new menu, and we have been now open for about three months with a Grand Opening in the works.”

How did you get into this business?
“I've been working in Deli's and restaurants since I was 12 years old. I love to cook and have lots of ideas that push the envelope, and do things that you don’t normally see in a deli or restaurant.”
What makes East Meadow a great place to own a business?
“We are located right on Hempstead Turnpike so there is ton of exposure and it’s a busy block. There is a ton of competition in the area, but I can guarantee an eating experience you can’t get anywhere else.”
What special services does the F&S Bar and Grill offer?
“We offer catering, deliveries, wing night on Wednesdays, private parties, and happy hours.”
What is your most popular beer or cocktail?
“We sell a lot of Orange Crushes (Stoli Orange, Red Bull, OJ) and our Ultimate Bourbon Sour has become a hit in recent weeks.”
What sets F&S apart from other bars in the area?
“Our menu...”
Why do customers keep coming back?
“They fall in love with the food. I can honestly say that 99 percent of our customers have eaten here once and have returned many times since.”
