Cops: Men on Bikes Beat, Robbed Victim in Roosevelt

Nassau County Police are searching for information in the beating and robbery of a man walking in Roosevelt Monday night.

Cops said the 57-year-old victim was walking at 8:30 p.m. on East Clinton Avenue near Cottage Place when he was approached by two men on bicycles. The men punched the victim in gut efface and caused him to fall to the ground, cops said. Both subjects then went through the man’s pockets and took a wallet and cellphone, police said.

The two then fled south on East Clinton Road toward Nassau Road, cops said.

The victim sustained swelling to his face but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
