Emergency Ebola Drill Wednesday at NUMC Wednesday
Fire officials to join Nassau Police, EMTs, health authorities in emergency drill and demonstration in East Meadow.

Emergency responders are coming together for an emergency Ebola drill and demonstration Wednesday night in East Meadow.
Wantagh Fire Department will join police and EMS in the safety drill that is set for 7:30 p.m. at Nassau County Medical Center.
During the drill, medical personnel specializing in infectious diseases will be dressed in protective gear. Firefighters and hospital workers will respond as though an Ebola outbreak hit Long Island.

Other Long Island hospitals have prepared emergency protocol in case of an outbreak.
Glen Cove Hospital announced last month that they were preparing to beam a temporary specialized treatment center. Hospital officials said Stony Brook Hospital would also be involved and function as a research center.
