The East Meadow Fire Department will recognize and honor its EMS members on May 20 at 11 a.m. at Station Three to kick-off National EMS Week.
“Our department’s EMTs, paramedics, rescue personnel and first responders answer thousands of calls for help a year and ask for nothing in return,” said Department Chief John Priest in a statement from the department. “This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to this group of dedicated professionals.”
Local politicians and other community leaders will be on hand at the brunch to honor the volunteer EMS providers. Awards will also be presented.
