The Long Island Chess Club holds its next meeting on Jan. 6 at the East Meadow United Methodist Church, 570 East Meadow Ave, from 6:45 to 10:45 p.m. Participants must be members of the U.S. Chess Federation. Annual membership is $40; $30 for ages 65+ and children in grades K-12.
