One person inside the home on Dover Street in Westbury, a 35-year-old man, suffered a small laceration when one of the men pushed a knife against his body, police said.

After walking into the kitchen, one of the men grabbed a knife and held it to the neck of a 10-year-old girl, police said.

The men then forced the girls toward the back of the home and entered a rear bedroom, where a 45-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were eating dinner. One of the men then yelled in Spanish, "Where is the money?" and used a belt to bind the hands of the male resident while the other assailants began to ransack all of the rooms in the house.

Before leaving the home, one of the men, who had the kitchen knife, pushed it against the 35-year-old man's body, causing a small laceration and told him not to call the police.

After the men left the home, the residents observed them fleeing on foot through the backyard and called 911.

A subsequent investigation revealed that about $1,700 was taken from a basement apartment that was unoccupied at the time of the home invasion.

All of the suspects were described as being about 5-foot-6, 160-170 pounds and and wearing all black clothing. The resident who suffered a laceration received treatment at the scene and refused further medical attention.
