Woodland Middle School's Stuff-A-Bus Drive Supports Families In Need

Woodland Middle School students collected and delivered hundreds of donated items to support families facing challenges.

EAST MEADOW, NY — East Meadow middle school students worked together to host an annual Stuff-A-Bus event, collecting hundreds of essential items for families served by the Ronald McDonald House.

The community service project brought students and staff together to donate household necessities and personal care products for families whose children are receiving medical treatment.

One of the day's highlights was a human chain formed by students, stretching from the donation room to a waiting bus outside the school. Working together, students passed hundreds of donated items hand-to-hand, showcasing teamwork and a shared commitment to helping others.

The Ronald McDonald House provides programs and services to help alleviate some financial burdens for families who must travel for lifesaving medical care for their children.

After the collection, student volunteers traveled to the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park to personally deliver the donations. During the visit, they toured the facility and learned more about the organization's mission and the impact its services have.
