Gambling Machines Seized At 3 Nassau Businesses, Arrests Made: Police
Cash was also seized during what police called a "Quality-of-Life Initiative," the department said.
UNIONDALE, NY — Three men were arrested and gambling machines seized at three stores across Roosevelt and Uniondale on Sunday after detectives ran a "Quality-of-Life Initiative," police said.
The initiative investigated alleged illegal activity at the following locations, police said.
At Miguel's Deli, at 243 Nassau Road, Roosevelt, officers found two hidden rooms which had magnetic latches activated by remote, police said. Each room contained two gambling machines, police said. Officers seized four gambling machines and $2,622 in US currency, police said. Rosa Galdamez, 47, of Uniondale, was issued multiple appearance tickets; all returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on April 8, police said.

At Nassau Road Fish Market, at 245A Nassau Road, Roosevelt, officers found three gambling machines and seized them police said. Rafael Osorio, 27, of Freeport, will be issued multiple appearance tickets at a later date, police said.
At Glaze & Grill Deli, at 566 Jerusalem Ave., Uniondale, officers seized a gambling machine and $214, police said. Hezam Nagi, 39, of Staten Island, was issued an appearance ticket returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on April 8, police said.
