The incidents happened Tuesday afternoon within 15 minutes of each other.

Nassau Police are investigating two incidents Tuesday afternoon in which a man in a white pickup truck tried to lure children to his vehicle.
The first incident occurred at about 3 p.m. in Bellmore. Police say an 11-year-old girl was walking on Oak Street when an unknown white man driving an older model pickup truck motioned to her to come over to the truck by waving his hand. The child became frightened and ran away, police say.
Fifteen minutes later, the same man told a 10-year-old boy who was walking on Dewey Avenue in North Bellmore to get in the truck, police say. The boy also ran away.
