MCU's East Meadow Branch to Serve As Collection Site for Toys For Tots and Food Drive Holiday Campaigns
Local residents are encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys and canned food at any MCU branch, including East Meadow branch at 1 Merrick Ave.

Municipal Credit Union (MCU) announced that it will participate in two charitable initiatives this holiday season – the Salvation Army Toys for Tots toy collection and a food and monetary donation drive to benefit the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) and City Harvest. These goodwill partnerships are part of MCU’s ongoing corporate commitment to give back to the communities in which it serves.
All MCU branches, including its East Meadow Branch located at 1 Merrick Avenue, will serve as drop-off and collection sites for the season’s Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys and games can be dropped off at any MCU branch between November 10 and December 14.
MCU branches on Long Island will also collect non-perishable food donations for City Harvest and The INN beginning today through January 16, 2015. Monetary donations can also be made at the branches to support City Harvest.

“Our goal is simple: to help those in our communities who are in need,” said MCU Chairman of the Board Mark S. Brantley, Esq. “We strive to adhere to the Credit Union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’ and the opportunity to help people in our community through charitable efforts is just one of the key ways we can put this philosophy into action. We are confident that our membership, and the New York community as a whole, will join us this holiday season to give back to those in need.”
In addition to the East Meadow branch, all MCU Long Island Branches, which are located in Oceanside, Elmont, and Melville, are serving as collection sites for these programs. A complete list of all MCU branches and drop-off site locations can be found at www.nymcu.org/branches.
