Nearby: Man Shot Dead, Woman Critically Injured in Westbury

A man was found dead of a gunshot wound in a Westbury home Saturday night and a woman found in the home is in critical condition after being shot twice, Nassau police said.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a person shot at a Waterbury Lane home at about 9:40 p.m.

Police found a 72-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she is listed in critical condition, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. Police did not release any other details or specify the relationship between the man and woman.
