LuminoCity Is Adding a Holiday Train to Its Glowing Winter Wonderland (totallythebomb.com) — Families in East Meadow can look forward to LuminoCity's expanded holiday lights festival at Eisenhower Park, running on select evenings from November 11 through January 3. Along with four themed light zones and over 100 glowing displays, this year adds the Lumi Express train ride as a separate, limited add‑on, so you'll need to check the official calendar, hours, and train reservations before heading out.

Nassau residents take steps for a future without Alzheimer's (liherald.com) — East Meadow's Eisenhower Park recently hosted the Nassau Walk to End Alzheimer's, drawing about 1,200 participants and raising more than $396,000 for research and support services. Local families, caregivers, and advocates shared emotional stories, joined a colorful Promise Garden ceremony, and emphasized that donations will continue to be accepted through December 31 to fuel care and new treatments.

Hockey Tripped up by LIU in Finale (gogriffs.com) — A tight men's college hockey matchup played at Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow saw LIU edge Canisius 3–2 after jumping out to a quick two-goal lead.
