• State lawmakers inspect ICE detention center in Nassau County (liherald.com) — State lawmakers recently toured the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow to inspect ICE detention cells just days before New York's Dignity Not Detention Act forces Nassau to end its ICE agreement. Officials reported thousands held there, mostly without serious criminal charges, and vowed to keep monitoring conditions and the county's compliance with the new law.
