View Finder: Bourne Legacy Films in East Meadow

It was movie time at the Empress Diner Monday.
The movie "The Bourne Legacy" filmed at the popular East Meadow eatery from 1-11:30 a.m.
"There's about 100 movie crew members here," Owner Mike Panagatos, who is an extra in the film, said. "They rented out my property, and the rest is history.

Panagatos said that his staff has interacted with movie crews before, as he rented out parking lot space and fed the crew for the filming of "American Gangster," which starred Denzel Washington. Many of the same workers are a part of this Bourne film.
"They were looking for a retro look," Panagatos said. "And this diner fit the bill. This scene is supposed to take place in Maryland."

Edward Norton was atop the bill of actors at the East Meadow establishment, and he exited in style, as he hopped into a Cadillac Escalade.
