A Brooklyn woman was arrested Monday afternoon after police say she was caught shoplifting and then attacked the store's security.

According to police, Shannon Ziv, 35, of Aster Court, Brooklyn, entered Saks Off 5th Ave., located at 1070 Old Country Road in Westbury, just before 2:30 p.m. Monday. Police say she stole merchandise from the store, and was followed outside by two loss prevention officers. They identified themselves, and then Ziv became combative, police say, starting to kick and punch the two men. Ziv also bit one of the men in the arm, police say.

Officers arrived at the scene and helped the loss prevention officers subdue Ziv, police say, and placed her under arrest.
