• Police clear homeless camps along Lackawanna Rail Trail (mytwintiers.com) — Elmira Heights Police joined Chemung County deputies and Horseheads officers to clear homeless encampments and trash from the Lackawanna Rail Trail, aiming to keep it safer and cleaner for users. Law enforcement says they’ll keep patrolling and cleaning the trail through the summer and urge residents to stay alert and report suspicious activity.
