• Elmira man arrested for stealing copper piping and wire (mytwintiers.com) — Chemung County Sheriff’s deputies say a 21-year-old Elmira man has been charged with multiple felonies after copper piping and electrical wire were reportedly stolen from a vacant Southport home in August. He turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office, was processed in Town of Southport Court, and released to reappear at a later date.
