• NY Islanders' Kyle Palmieri launches new venture for Long Island veterans (eyesonisles.com) — Elmont residents who served in the military now have a new free online hub, ROGER New York, to help connect them with housing, jobs, healthcare, and mental health resources across Long Island. Backed by Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri’s foundation, the platform currently serves Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and New Jersey, with plans to expand statewide in 2027. 
• Latest Updates From the Islanders (yardbarker.com) — Islanders fans in Elmont can look forward to a fuller roster this season, with goalie Semyon Varlamov and forward Pierre Engvall expected back from injuries. GM Mathieu Darche also hinted that top prospect Cole Eiserman could soon be skating at UBS Arena in Elmont, as the team aims for a younger, more energetic lineup.
