• Woman Stabbed, 88-Year-Old Beaten With Cane During Elmont Attack, Police Say (dailyvoice.com) — Police say two women, ages 58 and 88, were injured during a violent attack inside an Empire Street home in Elmont on Saturday afternoon, but both are now in stable condition. A 31-year-old man was arrested shortly afterward and faces multiple assault and criminal mischief charges, with arraignment pending a medical evaluation.
