Broome County corrections officer resigns after alleged tobacco contraband incident (wbng.com) — A corrections officer from Endicott has resigned after Broome County investigators say he admitted to giving tobacco to an incarcerated person at the county jail. The officer was arrested on contraband and official misconduct charges, decertified from future corrections work, and criticized by the sheriff for jeopardizing safety inside the facility.
