More info here

Friends of the Railroad, Inc., in partnership with Victor Hiking Trails, invites the public to attend the dedication of the restored Rochester & Eastern Trolley Shelter and the unveiling of a William G. Pomeroy Foundation historic marker.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 7, at 11:30 AM behind the former Fishers Fire Station, 7853 Main Street, Fishers, NY.

Built in 1905, the shelter once served passengers waiting for Rochester & Eastern Rapid Railway interurban cars at the Main Street Fishers stop. Its restoration helps preserve an important part of Fishers and Victor’s transportation history.

The event is free and open to the public.

A guided hike with Victor Hiking Trails will begin at 9:00 AM, and Kings Catering will be on site with a Chicken BBQ fundraiser beginning at 12:00 PM.

Chicken BBQ dinners are available by pre-order for $17.50 through June 5. Dinners will be $20.00 the day of the event, while supplies last. Pre-orders may be placed online at:

All are welcome to attend and help celebrate this piece of local history.
