• Intense Standoff Leads To Arrest After Gunfire Goes Off During Argument In Fallsburg: Cops (dailyvoice.com) — Fallsburg police say a Monticello man was arrested after gunfire struck a vehicle during an argument that began at a Loch Sheldrake apartment complex, leading to a multi-agency standoff and weapons seizure. He now faces numerous felony charges and is being held on high bail, with future appearances scheduled in Fallsburg Justice Court.
   

• Tax Foreclosure Auction Set for September 14-16 (riverreporter.com) — Sullivan County will hold an online tax foreclosure auction September 14–16 that includes properties in Fallsburg among other towns. Current owners can still keep their properties by paying in full by August 21, while interested bidders are urged to register early and carefully review terms, liens, and responsibilities before bidding.
