We’re Dragonfly Cares, a group of providers offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Speech-Language Therapy across Long Island. Our goal is to support children as well as the caregivers around them, while emphasizing community engagement and transparency. Our goal from the start has been to create a supportive network and uplifting environment for the families and therapists we work with. No more one-size fits all models, we provide more and always will. Each group is led by a BCBA and includes 1:1 support from a trained behavior technician. Groups are thoughtfully formed based on each child’s individual needs and skill sets. It’s a wonderful opportunity for your child to build social skills, communication, and more—all in a fun and supportive environment! One man was killed and another seriously injured in a North Amityville shooting Monday morning, police say.Police responded to an 18 Emerald Lane North home following a report that two men were shot outside the residence at approximately 3:19 p.m., according to authorities.Jason White, 38, of West Babylon and a 28-year-old Wyandanch man were transported to Southside Hospital where White died from his injuries and the Wyandanch man was admitted in serious condition. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
