2 People Revived With Narcan in 2 Hours by Wantagh-Levittown Responders

Both people suffered from heroin overdoses Monday night.

First responders from the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps revived two people with Narcan, the opioid overdose antidote, within a two hour span on Monday night.

WLVAC first responded to a call for an unconscious person suffering from a heroin overdose. They found the person pulseless, not breathing and cyanotic.

Responders then initiated CPR and quickly administered Narcan, which allowed the person’s vital signs to improve while he or she was transported to an area hospital.
