3 Collections Being Held In Farmingdale: How To Donate

If you would like to donate food or toys for families in need this holiday season, here is how you can.

FARMINGDALE, NY — As the holiday season is around the corner, it is a good time to remember opportunities to help those in need. In Farmingdale, a few donation drives are being held: the Thanksgiving Food Distribution Pantry, Toys for Tots, and Holiday Canned Food Drive. Here is more information on each:

Thanksgiving Food Distribution Pantry

When: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday
Where: Hope For the Future Ministries at 131 Verdi St., Farmingdale
What: Food distribution pantry
How to help: Donations of time are most needed; you can email Help@hopeftf.com for more information. Food donations are always accepted.

Holiday Canned Food Drive

When: Now through Nov. 19.
Where: Drop off at Farmingdale Village Hall Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What: Non-perishable food items are being collected to put in Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. Hosted by Christ's First Presbyterian Church Youth Ministry and State Senator Kevin Thomas.

Toys for Tots

When: Now through Dec. 14.
Where: Drop off at Farmingdale Village Hall Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What: Toys for children of families in need. Hosted by U.S. Marine Corps.
