'50s Make a Comeback at Saltzman Elementary

Teachers allow kids to experience a by-gone era through music and dress.

Farmingdale School District’s Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School recently brought an exciting twist to the 50th day of school by bringing the 1950s alive to their classrooms.

The ‘50s theme was evident in the teachers’ “Pink Ladies” attire and through lesson plans that integrated the number 50. Music from the ‘50s played in the classrooms to round out the experience for the students.

The attire of the "Pink Ladies" was made famous again by the film "Grease."
